Bristol dance music legend Jody Wisternoff is offering fans a whole new way to enjoy his award-winning 2024 album ‘Welcome To My World’.

The veteran producer, DJ, and Anjunadeep staple has released a reimagined version of the album – but this time slowed down with ambient and downtempo reinterpretations on Anjunachill.

Issued on August 28, ‘Welcome To My World’ (Chill Mixes) sees Wisternoff embracing his long-term passion for chilled electronica. Eight of the album’s standout tracks are reworked into nine lush, atmospheric versions that bring out the emotional depth and melodic warmth at the heart of his work. With floating pads, broken beats, and layered textures, the new versions showcase a softer, more contemplative side of the producer’s craft.

Discussing the project, Wisternoff said the concept arose organically in the creative process. “As I was composing the album, I sensed the melodic aspects of the tracks really were powerful enough to exist by themselves. With Anjuna releasing the chill label subsidiary, the concept for this companion release was locked into place in my head. I chose eight pieces that I felt best suited for this style and set about it,” he said.

‘Welcome To My World’, the first single off Wisternoff’s December 2024 original release, was a career-defining moment for the artist. The album gained traction rapidly around the world, accumulating more than 5 million streams and the backing of artists such as Gorgon City, Eelke Kleijn, Nick Warren, Tim Green, and Super Flu. Strong chart performance followed, debuting in the top five in Beatport’s Dance, Breaks, Electronica, and Organic House charts. Internationally, the record also made waves on airwaves, with SiriusXM Chill being one of the platforms providing it rotation.

With the Chill Mixes, Wisternoff is further building upon the legacy of ‘Welcome To My World’, proving that good music can succeed in many modes. The reinterpretations encourage listeners to enter his soundscape from a new perspective – one less geared toward the dancefloor and more toward contemplation, late-night drive, or relaxation.

Anjunadeep and its ambient sibling Anjunachill fans will discover much to appreciate here, as Wisternoff again demonstrates his diversity and ongoing impact within electronic music.

‘Welcome To My World’ (Chill Mixes) is out now on Anjunachill.
