It’s official, the Jonas Brothers just flipped the script on their highly anticipated Jonas20: Living the Dream Tour, and fans are struggling to process the news.

Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas, who are marking 20 years of band magic this year, have unexpectedly cancelled multiple stadium gigs and announced a move to much smaller venues. Yeah, you read that right. What was supposed to be a full-blown stadium celebration of their legacy is now turning into something a lot more… intimate.

In a heartfelt statement posted online, the trio tried to soften the blow: “Every decision we make is with you in mind, ensuring the best experience for our incredible fans,” they said. “We’re making some venue changes, but rest assured, all performances are still happening on the same dates and in the same cities. We’re pouring our hearts into making this the best tour we’ve ever done… We love performing for you and sharing this journey together… We apologize for any inconvenience these changes have caused, and we can’t wait to see you on the road!”

That last part? Yeah, it stings a little. Especially since fans who had already locked in stadium tickets now have to go through the hassle of buying new ones. Ticketmaster will be issuing automatic refunds for all original stadium seats, but here’s the kicker: you have to purchase tickets again for the new venues. No automatic transfer. No seat upgrade. Just a full restart. At least those who bought tickets the first time around will get early access when the new batch drops at 10am local time on Wednesday. Still, that didn’t stop fans from venting their frustration online.

The venue switch has affected six major cities, each with a considerable downgrade in size. The August 12th show in Washington, D.C. is now at Jiffy Lube Live instead of Nationals Park. Philadelphia’s gig on August 14th is moving from Citizens Bank Park to Freedom Mortgage Pavilion. In Illinois, the August 26th show is now set for Credit Union 1 Amphitheater in Tinley Park instead of the iconic Wrigley Field. Detroit’s concert on August 28th has shifted from Comerica Park to Little Caesars Arena. Dallas fans will now be heading to Dos Equis Pavilion on August 31st instead of Globe Life Field. And the September 6th show in LA has officially moved from Dodger Stadium to the brand-new Intuit Dome in Inglewood.

This comes just ahead of the release of their next studio album, Greetings From Your Hometown, which drops August 8th and will be the fuel for much of the upcoming tour setlist. The band also announced that they’ll be joined on select dates by Marshmello, Boys Like Girls, and All-American Rejects. On top of that, fans can expect a mix of classic JB tracks, new hits, and even solo performances from Nick, Joe, DNCE, and The Administration, so the concert itself is still loaded.

If you’re still catching your breath, you’re not alone. Fans were alerted to the venue downgrade on Friday via emails from Ticketmaster and official posts on the band’s Instagram. While some are still excited to see the Jonas Brothers in smaller, more personal venues, many are disappointed by the chaos, and let’s be honest, scrambling to rebook tickets isn’t how anyone wanted to start this nostalgic tour.

Despite all this, the Jonas Brothers are going full steam ahead. With a fresh album, a stacked lineup of guests, and promises of their “best tour ever,” the vibe is still electric… just not at stadium level anymore.
