London-born DJ and producer Joshwa has released his latest single ‘Wildflower’, marking his fourth collaboration with Insomniac Records.
Out August 29, the track follows the success of fan favorites Kerching, Papi, and VIP Business, further cementing Joshwa’s reputation as one of house music’s most distinctive voices.
Joshwa is known for weaving together a diverse range of influences – from disco, minimal, and hip-hop to indie, UK garage, and tech house. ‘Wildflower’ exemplifies that eclectic sound. Built around an emotive vocal topline, the track explores the tension between love and freedom, set against a garage-inspired groove. The production combines oscillating organ chords, lush string pads, dub siren accents, and a heavy low-end, creating a house cut that feels equally rooted in UK club culture and expansive in its progressive sensibilities.
The track first caught attention when Joshwa played it during his set at Beyond Wonderland SoCal. The response was immediate, with fans flooding him with requests and even singing along to the unreleased ID at shows. “Wildflower” is where all my influences finally meet,” Joshwa explained. “It brings together the sweeping emotional builds from my progressive roots, the hypnotic grooves of tech house, and that gritty, shuffling UK garage energy. The response has been unreal – from people requesting it at shows to hearing crowds sing it word for word since its first play.”
The release of ‘Wildflower’ coincides with Joshwa’s ongoing world tour, which has already featured stops at iconic venues and festivals including Ministry of Sound London, Paradise at UNVRS, Elrow UNVRS, and Ilesoniq. His upcoming tour dates will take him across North America and Europe, including major events such as North Coast Festival in Chicago, Warehouse Project in Manchester, and Repopulate Mars at Academy Los Angeles.
