Jujutsu Kaisen enthusiasts have one more reason to celebrate.
While the live-streamed 5th anniversary celebration of the anime on Saturday, the production studio behind the popular series revealed the first teaser promo for Season 3 and officially announced that much-hyped Culling Game arc will arrive in January 2026.
The teaser gave an initial glimpse of the repercussions of the gruesome Shibuya Incident, one of the most dramatic plot lines in the series to date. The trailer sees Itadori, the protagonist of the show, guilty and despondent as he believes he killed thousands. His inner struggle sets the stage for even more epic fights to come.
Perhaps the most prominent scene in the teaser is a savage brawl between Yuji and Season 3 main Yuta Okkotsu. The fans first knew about Yuta from Jujutsu Kaisen 0, and they had long been waiting for his appearance. His fight is also foretold to be one of the season’s highlighters in the future.
The trailer also introduced the arrival of Naoya Zen’in, an imposing new character that creates tension in the world of sorcerers. A high-stakes confrontation between Naoya and Choso promises high-risk fights and sad drama. Other character returns that have been spotted in the teaser are Megumi Fushiguro, Maki Zen’in, and Yuki Tsukumo, which means the story will again involve multiple character threads that will be woven together as the Culling Game continues.
A retelling of one of the most highly awaited storylines of the best-selling manga written by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the biggest success stories in modern anime, praised for its gothic narrative, stunning animation, and richly detailed characters. Season 3 continues this legacy.
As with previous seasons, the series will stream worldwide on Crunchyroll (excluding Asia), new episodes releasing every week on the same day as the corresponding Japan-based broadcast. Side-by-side release allows supporters across the globe to keep pace with the events at the same time, fueling real-time discussions and speculation on the internet.
The anime features a huge Japanese voice cast, including Junya Enoki as Yuji Itadori, Yuma Uchida as Megumi Fushiguro, Daisuke Namikawa as Choso, and Megumi Ogata as Yuta Okkotsu. Their performance has been a key factor behind the success of the show and will likely bring the dramatic confrontations during Season 3 to yet another level.
With the Culling Game arc promising bigger-than-life fights, jaw-dropping plot twists, and meaningful character development, Jujutsu Kaisen enthusiasts can look forward to Season 3 delivering on action as well as emotion when it arrives in 2026.
