The State Skill Development Department has launched a capacity building programme for all vertical heads and key district officers, in association with Infosys, to impart training to help improve grassroot level implementation of skill development schemes.
A two-day workshop began to impart training on Thursday at Infosys’s Mysuru campus. Sharan Prakash Patil, Minister for Medical Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood, inaugurated the programme through videoconferencing from the Vikasa Soudha.
Dr. Patil said the workshop aims to strengthen institutional capacities of district-level officers by exposing them to best practices in leadership, skill ecosystem governance, and programme implementation. “We are creating a collaborative environment for learning and problem solving that will improve skill development delivery at the grassroots level,” he said.
The programme focuses on several key areas such as formulation of district skill development plans (DSDPs), effective convergence with central schemes and review of the Chief Minister Kalike Koushalya Yojane (CMKKY) implementation. Officials will also engage in structured deliberations on designing and rolling out CMKKY 2.0.
