Kelly Clarkson has officially postponed her Las Vegas residency dates — and fans have a lot of feelings.

The pop superstar and talk show queen has officially postponed the remaining August dates of her Studio Sessions residency at Caesars Palace due to a deeply personal reason, family first. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Clarkson explained that she needs to be fully present for her two kids, River (10) and Remy (8), as their father, Brandon Blackstock, has been dealing with serious health issues over the past year.

Kelly Clarkson didn’t sugarcoat anything in her post. “Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” she said, adding that although she normally keeps her private life out of the spotlight, this time she felt it was necessary to speak out. The remaining four shows scheduled for August 8-9 and 15-16 at The Colosseum are now officially on hold.

While Clarkson hasn’t been one to let much interrupt her work hustle, this update reminds everyone that even icons have to hit pause when life demands it. The singer, 43, has always been candid about balancing motherhood with her career, and this time, that balance means stepping back to focus on her kids during a tough time.

Luckily, this isn’t a full stop. The Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions – The Las Vegas Residency is still slated to continue this fall with dates set for November 7-8 and 14-15. Caesars Palace and The Colosseum have already posted updates, sharing that more details about refunds or rescheduled tickets will be available through Ticketmaster soon. Fans have a 30-day window to request a refund or they can choose to keep their tickets for newly added 2026 shows, six dates are already lined up for July and August of that year.

Support from fans and the venue has been strong. Caesars took to Instagram, saying, “Thank you everyone for your understanding. We hope the best for Kelly and her family.” The vibe has been one of respect and support, with many fans flooding the comments with messages of love.

This isn’t the first time Clarkson’s schedule has been affected recently. Earlier this year, she missed multiple episodes of The Kelly Clarkson Show between February and March, with guest hosts like Andy Cohen, Molly Sims, and Kal Penn stepping in. At the time, she didn’t address the reason for her absence, but this recent update sheds more light on what might have been happening behind the scenes.

What’s clear is that Kelly Clarkson’s decision to hit pause on her Vegas shows comes from a place of strength and priority. She’s always been transparent when it matters most, and now she’s putting her role as a mom front and center. Fans hoping to catch her live will just have to wait a bit longer, but it’s safe to say when she returns, the energy will be even more powerful.

For now, if you’ve got tickets to the canceled August dates, keep an eye on Ticketmaster for your options, and mark your calendar for the fall or 2026 if you’re holding out. One thing’s for sure: Clarkson’s Vegas story isn’t over, this is just an intermission.
