In a jaw-dropping moment, Kid Cudi told jurors his car was firebombed after hooking up with Diddy’s ex, Cassie.

The rapper, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, testified that his Porsche was destroyed with a Molotov cocktail shortly after he dated Diddy’s then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Prosecutors allege the incident wasn’t just a random act of violence, it was a message, and they believe it came from Diddy.

Cudi testified during the ninth day of Diddy’s trial, where Combs is facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution. He’s pleaded not guilty, but the testimony coming out is painting a disturbing picture. Cudi dated Cassie back in 2011, during a period when she and Diddy were supposedly on a break. But according to prosecutors, Combs didn’t take that well at all.

In court, Cudi recalled getting a terrifying phone call in January 2012. His dog-sitter told him his car was on fire. “She told me my car was on fire,” he said. “I immediately went to my house.” On the way home, a friend texted him a photo that confirmed it wasn’t just smoke and mirrors, his Porsche had been obliterated.

By the time he arrived, there wasn’t much left to salvage. The roof of his convertible had been sliced open and someone had tossed a Molotov cocktail into the car. “The top of my Porsche was cut open and that’s where they inserted the Molotov cocktail,” he said in court. The bottle had already burned out by the time he got there, but the damage was done. The jury was shown six photos showing the aftermath: a slashed roof, charred red seats, and melted interiors. His beloved car was beyond repair.

Cudi didn’t directly name Diddy in his testimony, but the connection is hard to ignore. Ventura had previously testified that Combs became enraged after learning about her relationship with Cudi, and he allegedly threatened to have the rapper’s car blown up. At the time, people might’ve brushed it off as an empty threat, but Cudi’s experience proved otherwise.

Despite the destruction, Cudi kept things concise when asked how he felt about the attack. His blunt three-word response? “What the f, .” That raw, unfiltered reaction said it all, and captured exactly how anyone would feel discovering their car had been deliberately firebombed.

The testimony only adds to the growing mountain of allegations against Combs. The charges he’s facing include sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. Each new witness is adding layers of detail, and Cudi’s story, though short, might be one of the most unforgettable.

This isn’t some rap feud or celebrity gossip, it’s a federal courtroom, and real lives have been affected. Cudi’s testimony backs up previous claims made by Cassie, who has been central to many of the allegations against Combs. Her statement that Diddy threatened to blow up Cudi’s car now carries even more weight, especially with photographic evidence shown to the jury.

The courtroom drama is far from over, but one thing is clear: Kid Cudi’s Porsche explosion is no longer just a scary memory. It’s now a major point in a case that could bring serious consequences for one of the most powerful figures in music.
