Marvin Harrison Jr. is laser-focused on this upcoming NFL season.

The wide receiver held a press conference at the team’s facility after off season activities and spoke about wanting bigger success in his second season.

One thing stood out with Harrison when talking to the reporters, and that was his bulkier build.

In pursuit of that goal, and setting off on a similar trajectory to his Hall of Fame fame father – he is targeting a more muscular frame.

The 22-year-old looked like a shadow of the skinny 209-pound rookie from last year, as he now fits the image of a big-bodied receiver receiver who’ll impose his physicality on NFL defensive backs.

“I definitely put on some pounds,” Harrison said when asked about his new build.

“I think I added some muscle to my body a little bit. Still just trying to see how my body feels throughout OTAs . . . Kind of get that specific weight to settle in for training camp and go from there.”

Although when asked about how he improved his body, he admitted that it happened naturally as a result of eating more, something he didn’t do in college.

“Happened naturally honestly, in college I didn’t eat as much probably, then I started eating a little more, having more free time,” he added.

“Obviously [eating] all the right things, with some extra protein for sure.”

He also expressed confidence in his teammates this year and how there’s no reason they can’t achieve their goals in 2025.

“I’m very confident in what we have offensively, from top to bottom,” Harrison said.

“Quarterback, line, skill positions. We have everything we need to be able to go out there and accomplish the goals that we have.”

So with a better physique thanks to the luxuries of an NFL offseason, Harrison will look to deliver even more on those huge expectations he had from last season.

In 2024, he was selected with the No.4 overall pick, the first non-QB that year, off that board that year and in return delivered a strong rookie season to the Cardinals.

He had 62 catches for 885 yards and eight touchdowns, very similar to his dad’s rookie season back in 1996, as Marvin Harrison Sr recorded 64 catches for 836 yards and eight touchdowns in 1996 for the Colts.

His dad went on to become a Hall of Famer, and there’s no reason why Harrison Jr can’t follow that same path.

However, he’ll have to step up even more this year, as despite some strong performances, he also had some quiet games.

The rookie was fifth in yards receiving for a rookie behind Brian Thomas Jr, Malik Nabers, Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey.

“I just had to get adjusted to the game speed, everything moves faster at the next level,” Harrison said when asked about his rookie season.

Although his head coach, Arizona’s Jonathon Gannon, is delighted with his wideout and is confident he’ll become All-Pro calibre in the coming years.

“He looks awesome out there right now. I’m really excited to see where his game goes,” Gannon said in April.

“I’m not going to speak truth into the universe, but just wait until this guy plays this year.”
