
K-pop enthusiasts are being treated again by McDonald’s.
The fast-food chain has officially released a BTS-themed Happy Meal with collectible TinyTAN toys of each of the K-pop global supergroup’s members.
The TinyTAN Happy Meal initially launched on September 3 in McDonald’s so-called “Throwback Edition.” There is a second release, or the Encore Edition, planned for September 23.

Two Editions, Two Toy Sets
With each Happy Meal is included one TinyTAN character toy, designed in the likeness of BTS artists Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The Throwback Edition toys depict the attire of the cartooned TinyTAN characters during the 2021 BTS Meal promotion, while the Encore Edition toys introduce new styles associated with the latest partnership.
Those waiting to pick up both versions will have to go to McDonald’s twice, during the two different release periods.
International Availability
The BTS TinyTAN Happy Meal will be offered at participating McDonald’s restaurants in about 70 nations worldwide, including the United States. It can be bought in person or through the McDonald’s app for pickup or delivery, where available.
The promotion, however, is limited-time only, so once the promotion is over, the toys will no longer be sold.
More Than Just Toys
Every Happy Meal box contains a QR code that takes shoppers to the TinyTAN Power Up game, providing fans with an additional level of interactive fun with their purchase.
McDonald’s called the promotion a direct call to action stemming from fan demands. “McDonald’s fans, you asked and we delivered,” the company stated in its August 19 announcement.
BTS and McDonald’s – A History of Hits
This isn’t the first collaboration for BTS with McDonald’s. In 2021, the wildly popular BTS Meal featured Chicken McNuggets, fries, a soft drink, and two sauces inspired by South Korean dishes. That promotion sold out in some markets and became a cultural phenomenon for fast food fans and the K-pop world.
And now that TinyTAN toys are hitting Happy Meals, McDonald’s is doubling on the fandom frenzy. Since the group has gigantic worldwide reach – five Grammy nominations, over 26 million monthly Spotify listeners, and 23 Guinness World Records – the deal is bound to create strong demand.
Fans eager to get their collectibles can be warned to get the Happy Meal early before stocks dwindle.
