Miley Cyrus is already thinking way ahead with regards a new album.
Even though her ninth studio album Something Beautiful drops this Friday (May 30, 2025), she’s already teasing her next project , and it’s going to be something else entirely.
Speaking at a private fan event at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont, Miley told the crowd: “My next album is about to be extremely experimental, so have fun with that. Something Beautiful is just the appetizer.”
That’s right, the 32-year-old pop icon isn’t slowing down. While Something Beautiful is getting all the buzz right now as a visual album with 13 songs and a film debuting at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival, Miley is already cooking up her milestone 10th record. And she’s setting expectations high.
Fans lucky enough to attend the intimate event were treated to live performances of new tracks like “Easy Lover,” “End of the World,” and “More To Lose,” as well as the smash hit “Flowers” from her 2023 album Endless Summer Vacation. And just to keep everyone on their toes, she even performed a snippet of “The Climb”, a fan favorite from Hannah Montana: The Movie , proving she knows exactly how to balance nostalgia with evolution.
Miley has been dropping hints about the vision behind Something Beautiful. In an Instagram statement, she described it as “another bold artistic evolution,” blending music, visuals, and fashion into a single immersive experience. The title track, co-executive produced with Shawn Everett, showcases a custom design by Casey Cadwallader for the House of Mugler , underlining the album’s focus on fashion and aesthetics.
But the most interesting reveal? Her next project could take inspiration from Pink Floyd’s The Wall. In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Miley said: “My idea was making The Wall, but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture. It’s a concept album that’s an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music.”
That alone tells us she’s thinking big. This won’t be just another album , it’ll be a full-on artistic statement. Miley added, “I would like to be a human psychedelic for people. I don’t want anyone trying to be like me or imitate me or even be inspired by me. I want to impact frequencies in your body that make you vibrate at a different level.”
For now, all eyes are on Something Beautiful and its one-of-a-kind “pop opera” visuals. But if Miley’s already calling her next album “extremely experimental,” fans better buckle up. This next chapter might be her most daring yet.
