Minister for Municipal Administration K. N. Nehru made a surprise inspection of the knowledge and study centre at Kuthupapallam in Tiruchi on Thursday. Nearly 200 students are studying for competitive exams at the centre.

During the inspection, he examined the attendance records of the students and inquired about the areas they were coming from. He sought feedback on their needs at the knowledge centre. He also congratulated the students studying there.

The knowledge and study centre, which was inaugurated in January 2024, was implemented with an outlay of ₹2.57 crore. The centre’s facilities are open to all, and entry is free of cost, with particular emphasis on students and aspirants preparing for competitive examinations.

Mayor M. Anbazhagan and Corporation Commissioner V. Saravanan were present.
