Nicholas Galitzine has officially wrapped filming on the highly anticipated live-action reboot of Masters of the Universe, where he stars as the iconic superhero He-Man.

The 30-year-old British actor took to Instagram to share his excitement and gratitude for the role, calling it “the role of a lifetime.”

In his post, Galitzine wrote, “Well, that’s a wrap on Masters of the Universe. It has been an honour shouldering the responsibility of playing Adam and He-Man. It’s been the role of a lifetime and I put everything into it. There’s not much I can show you, but I am so proud of the movie we’ve made. Thanks to our amazing cast and crew for all your hard work.”

The actor also confirmed the end of production on TikTok with a simple but heartfelt caption: “No ships left to fly that’s a wrap on Masters of the Universe!!”

Directed by Travis Knight and written by Chris Butler, the film brings together a stacked cast including Camila Mendes, Jared Leto, Idris Elba, Morena Baccarin, Alison Brie, and Charlotte Riley. Based on the classic Mattel toy line, this reboot has been in the works for years, and Galitzine’s casting as He-Man raised eyebrows in all the right ways.

To prepare for the physically demanding role, Galitzine went through a serious lifestyle transformation. Speaking with W Magazine, he revealed, “There’s been a lot of eating and weightlifting, a lot of stunts. I’m eating about 4,000 calories a day, but the amount of physical work I’m doing, you end up hungry at the end of the day, which is quite surprising. This is the fun part.”

But it wasn’t all fun and games. He also mentioned that he would soon enter a strict “cutting” phase, which would significantly lower his food intake to reveal the classic shredded look He-Man is known for. “I will eventually go into what’s called the cutting phase, where I’m going to be starved and so rude to everyone. I can only apologise for the person I’m going to become in a few months’ time.”

Interestingly, Galitzine didn’t grow up acting. He was more into sports and had a promising path in athletics. “That was my one love. I never acted as a kid,” he said. “I played rugby union, and at one point I was second best at javelin for my age group. There are no pads or headgear in rugby, and I ended up getting concussed, so I stopped when I was 17. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, but, on a whim, I did a play. I was scouted, and this option of becoming an actor was kind of put to me.”

Now, years later, Nicholas Galitzine finds himself front and center in one of the biggest action reboots in recent memory. With the film wrapped and anticipation growing, fans can’t wait to see his take on He-Man when Masters of the Universe finally hits the screen.
