Odd Mob and OMNOM are back with another explosive track under their joint project HYPERBEAM. The duo, who officially launched their collaborative venture last year, just released “System,” a bold, bass-driven tech-house single that pushes boundaries while paying homage to one of the most recognizable tracks of the 2000s.

“System” gives a sly reinterpretation of M.I.A.’s Grammy-nominated single “Paper Planes,” but rather than interpolating the familiar vocal hooks, the producers hacked and reworked a different part of the song. The outcome is an unpolished, frenetic release that disorients listeners while honoring HYPERBEAM’s tradition of producing out-of-left-field surprises.

Odd Mob and OMNOM’s collaborative working relationship has been in quick ascent since their debut collab “Losing Control” was released on John Summit’s Experts Only imprint. The track quickly topped Beatport’s charts and accumulated more than 30 million platform streams, making their dynamic a duo. Their success propelled them to introduce HYPERBEAM, officially introducing themselves with their four-track EP The Unexplained in April 2024 through Insomniac Records. The release of the EP was scheduled just before their much-awaited live debut at EDC Las Vegas, where they performed one of the festival’s highlights.

Since then, HYPERBEAM has been working hard on the international circuit. The duo have rocked prominent stages throughout the US, such as Hangout Festival in Alabama, Electric Forest in Michigan, and Elements Festival in Pennsylvania, as well as club gigs and one-off events throughout Europe and Australia.

Separately, both artists have much to be proud of. Odd Mob’s breakout single “Left To Right” went viral in 2022, which received spins by industry heavyweights such as Skrillex, Dom Dolla, Fred Again., and Disclosure. He has since worked with Tiësto and Goodboys, whose song “Won’t Be Possible” for Atlantic Records has broken 20 million streams. Meanwhile, OMNOM has built his own reputation with headliner performances at places such as the Hollywood Palladium and Knockdown Center, along with a Las Vegas residency. His style, characterized by quirky but refined production, has established him as a top-recommended name on US club culture.

With “System,” Odd Mob and OMNOM again demonstrate why HYPERBEAM is such an electrifying prospect within the electronic circuit currently. Fans can look forward to hearing the track throughout their busy 2025 touring calendars, which encompass visits to top clubs, festivals, and select headline shows globally.
