The police registered a case against senior YSRCP leader and former Minister Ambati Rambabu on Thursday, alleging that he had obstructed the police from performing their duty and misbehaved with the police, while staging a protest against the government on June 4. Based on a complaint lodged by Sub Inspector N. Narahari at the Pattabhipuram Police Station, they booked the caser. A video clip in which Mr. Rambabu was seen arguing with the police went viral on Wednesday. The police booked the case under Sections 132, 126(2), 223, 351(2), and 270 read with 190 of the BNS Act.
