The police have traced two minor boys who went missing from the Government Children’s Home at Vellimadukunnu in Kozhikode city in Kerala on Thursday evening. Police sources said search was on for one more boy who escaped with the two.
The children escaped by around 5 p.m. when they were permitted to go for some outdoor games on the children’s home campus. After a four-hour long intensified search, two of the missing children were traced by the police from Thamarassery. The third missing child reportedly escaped from the spot on seeing the rescue squad.
There was a similar missing case last week as well in which four minor boys managed to escape from the spot. They were brought back to the children’s home within a few hours after the incident.
The Chevayur police have registered a case as part of probing the reasons behind the latest missing case. They said the suspected external support for the boys was also under investigation.
