Sunday’s Premier League fixtures (all 4pm kick offs):
- Bournemouth v Leicester
- Fulham v Manchester City
- Ipswich v West Ham
- Liverpool v Crystal Palace
- Manchester United v Aston Villa
- Newcastle v Everton
- Nottingham Forest v Chelsea
- Southampton v Arsenal
- Tottenham v Brighton
- Wolves v Brentford
With the Premier League title race already decided and the three relegation spots already confirmed, all eyes are on the battle for Champions League football as five teams separated by just three points all battle it out for the final three spots.
The standout fixture of the final day of the campaign undoubtedly sees Nottingham Forest host Chelsea at the City Ground with both sides still in the hunt for a top five finish, separated by only one point.
Manchester City are currently in the prime position heading into the final day in the race for the top five, knowing that they only need a point against Fulham at Craven Cottage to confirm their place in Europe’s elite club competition next season.
Newcastle sit in fourth place, level on points with both Chelsea and Aston Villa below them ahead of their home game against Everton on the final day, while Aston Villa travel to Old Trafford to take on a wounded Manchester United side, four days on from their Europa League heartbreak.
There will also be a small battle for eighth place between Brighton and Brentford, the former leading the latter by three points, as there’s still a small chance the eighth placed finishers will reach the Conference League next season.
That will only happen if Chelsea finish seventh and win their Conference League final on Wednesday, or if Chelsea finish sixth, Newcastle finish seventh and the Blues win win their Conference League final in Poland next week.
It’s advantage Seagulls in that battle as they need just a point from their visit to north London as they come up against newly crowned Europa League champions Tottenham, while Brentford are in the Black Country as they visit Wolves.
Premier League champions Liverpool will take on FA Cup champions Crystal Palace at Anfield before lifting the league trophy in front of their home fans for the first time in 35 years.
Arsenal, Premier League runners up for the third season in a row, travel to the south coast to take on a Southampton side guaranteed to finish rock bottom of the table with only 12 points to their name this season.
The other newly promoted sides at the start of the season are also the ones who have had their relegation confirmed for next season, with 19th placed Ipswich hosting West Ham on their final outing, and Leicester travelling to Dorset to take on Bournemouth.
