PSG vs Inter prediction
There’s no proper indicator of how these two sides fare against each other as this Champions League final is actually the first competitive match between the two sides.
They’ve met fairly regularly in friendlies over the last few years but have never been drawn against each other in European competitions.
Both sides and their respective countries have a variety of stats and form in Champions League and European finals as a whole, but it’s key to look at what’s in front of us here instead of what has happened before.
Inter this season have been incredibly solid in defence and though that seemed to come apart against Barcelona, it mostly speaks to how good the Spanish side were going forward.
PSG will also be able to break down Inter with the squad at their disposal; Ousmane Dembele has consistently looked a danger at getting forward and creating chances for the French side.
But Inter have been clinical too, making the most of their chances even when they have much less than their opposition.
Ultimately, this could be a great game for neutrals as both sides could go for the win rather than eking out a 1-0 victory by going defensive and relying on a counter.
Inter have scored two or more goals in all six knockout games so far and could be just the third side to achieve this in history, with only Real Madrid in 1960 and 1994 scoring two or more in every knockout including the final.
PSG vs Inter betting tips
Dembele has amassed 21 goals in just 29 appearances this season in the French Ligue while Bradley Barcola has 14 and Goncalo Ramos has ten in just 22 appearances.
Inter on the other hand have had their goals come throughout their whole squad, in Serie A, as a concerted effort from all over the pitch rather than having one singular player scoring the large portion of the goals.
Of course Marcus Thuram with 14 and Lautaro Martinez with 12 goals this season in similar time frames shows they are the two biggest dangers for Inter, but you never know when the likes of Denzel Dumfries, Federico Dimarco or Nicolo Barella are going to come up with goals as well.
In fact, ten Inter players have between three and seven goals this season.
Crucially though in the UCL it’s Lautaro Martinez who stands out for Inter and Dembele of course still for PSG.
Nuno Mendes has been solid for PSG at left back this season but has scored the second most goals for his side in the Champions League with four goals in 15 appearances.
And given his form he makes a great addition to any bet builders with a big price to get a shot on target, let alone to score anytime.
