A rabid dog has reportedly attacked and injured more than 45 people in Badvel town of Kadapa district on Monday (May 26, 2025). While some of the injured were admitted into Badvel Government Hospital, others were shifted to Kadapa Government Hospital.
Badvel Municipal Commissioner Narasimha Reddy visited the government hospital and spoke to the victims. He asked the hospital superintendent Dr. Subba Reddy to take necessary steps to ensure that they get better treatment.
The Municipal Commissioner also brought an elderly woman, who was severely injured in a dog attack near the vegetable market, to the hospital and admitted her. Meanwhile, the rabid dog was reportedly beaten to death by the municipal staff.
