A day after 11 peovple lost their lives and over 50 people were injured in the stampede during the victory celebrations for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the IPL team announced financial support of ₹10 lakh each for the families of the victims. The franchise announced the gesture in a post on X.

Lakhs of people turned up for the parade near the Chinnaswamy Stadium leading to a stampede that caused the death of 11 people outside the stadium here on Wednesday (June 4, 2025).

“The unfortunate incident in Bengaluru yesterday has caused a lot of anguish and pain to the RCB family,” said an RCB statement on Thursday (June 5, 2025).

The management also said a fund called RCB Cares is being created to support fans injured in the incident.

“As a mark of respect and a gesture of solidarity, RCB has announced a financial support of ₹10 lakh to each of the eleven families of the deceased. In addition, a fund called RCB Cares is also being created to support fans injured in this tragic incident,” it added.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has also announced a compensation of ₹10 lakh each to the families of the deceased and free treatment to the injured persons.
