Hassan Lok Sabha member Shreyas M. Patel has said that JD(S) leader H.D. Revanna was making baseless allegations about the law and order situation in Hassan district.
“Instead of making vague allegations, let Mr. Revanna come out with specific information,” said Mr. Patel in a press conference here on Tuesday.
The law and order situation in Hassan had been well maintained. “There is no truth in remarks made by Revanna. If there are any specific complaints against any official, let him complain to senior officers. The number of crimes in the district has come down when compared to previous years,” he said.
As an elected representative of Hassan, Mr. Patel said he had been making efforts to bring funds for development works in the district.
Regarding the maize crop being affected by downy mildew, a fungal infection, Mr. Patel said the officers of the Agriculture Department had been instructed to spread awareness among farmers on methods to avoid the disease. The department would soon issue guidelines in this regard. The officers would distribute medicine soon, he added.
