The Premier League Darts campaign has reached Finals Night with four of the best players in the world heading to London’s O2 hoping to be crowned the 2025 champion.

Defending champion Luke Littler is 4/5 to retain his title after stylishly topping the table through 16 weeks of gripping league action.

But challengers Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price and Nathan Aspinall will all be confident they can defuse The Nuke and pocket a £275,000 winner’s cheque.

Premier League Darts – Play-off Tips

  • Nathan Aspinall to win the Premier League @ 10/1
  • Luke Littler -3.5 v Gerwyn Price @ 11/10
  • Luke Humphries v Nathan Aspinall Over 16.5 legs @ 10/11

Take The Asp at tasty odds to see off the Lukes

The biggest roadshow in darts is coming to an end after a four-month trek across seven different countries and Finals Night in London should be a thrilling climax to the season.

Littler topped the table so will play fourth-placed Price in their best-of-19 legs semi, before Humphries and Aspinall, second and third respectively, take to the stage for the second semi.

Then it’s straight into the best-of-21 legs final and if the prices are your guide then the top two in the table, the top two in the world, Littler and Humphries will be throwing for the big bucks.

They have already met in five finals over 16 weeks of competition and between them won nine of the Thursday night mini-leagues.

But Littler has had trouble against Price, Humphries ditto against The Asp, and don’t be surprised if there isn’t at least one more twist to come before the champion is crowned.

And the reality is that Aspinall, at 10/1 to win two matches, is a price well worth chucking some chips at.

Granted the first of those matches is against Humphries, the second quite likely Littler, but Aspinall, a former Premier League finalist, has been tough as teak in recent Thursdays, winning Night 15 and then beating Michael van Gerwen last week to book his place in the final four.

The easy option is to forecast a Humphries-Littler final. The value bet, however, is Aspinall to come through at big odds.

Littler has the measure of Gezzy

The first two Premier League meetings between Littler and Price this year went the way of the Welshman.

The most recent two yielded 6-3 wins for the teenager and those are the results that are more likely to shape their semi-final.

Price is throwing well – he has hit two nine-darters in this year’s competition – but Littler’s numbers are in a different league; he has averaged 102.43 over the first 16 weeks, almost six points higher.

The longer the format the more gulf should appear in which case Littler gets the nod on the handicap covering a -3.5-legs spread (meaning he needs to win 10-6 or better).

Humphries to brace himself for semi-final epic

Two wins over the last seven Thursdays are the bedrock of Aspinall’s rise to the top four and he should have no fears taking on Humphries in the second semi.

If Cool Hand turns it on the world No.1 can be unstoppable, but Aspinall has got his game together, will never stop battling and has beaten his rival twice this year.

This could easily be a drawn-out affair which is set to run over 16.5 legs.
