Representatives of various associations under umbrella of Upadhya Sanghala Ikya Vedika staged protest at Vizianagaram Collector’s office on Tuesday (June 10, 2025), insisting the government to adopt manual counselling for transfers of teachers, ahead of the beginning of new academic year.
The representatives, including D. Srinivasa Rao, K. Srinivasa Rao, D. Eswara Rao and others, said the web counselling had caused many troubles for them previously and it was not suitable for the teachers to select the right school since they would be forced to give hundreds of options in the web counselling.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao said manual counselling would enable the teachers to discuss with others and take right decision in selection of the new places for their transfers. Mr. Eswara Rao said manual counselling had been the wish of more than 3,500 teachers in the district. They hoped that the government would look into their petition and resolve the grievances of the teachers of the district as well as other places.
