Latin American producers, vocalists, and DJs Le Twins have released a brand-new single, back in Dim Mak Records with their dark, futuristic flavor. Their new release, “Need U To Go (Red Light, Green Light),” delivers a high-energy techno flair, blending pulsing grooves, hypnotic beats, and sensual robotic vocals into a ready-to-rock club anthem.
The single is a daring reinterpretation of Duke Dumont’s seminal “Need U To Go”, turned into a hard-hitting techno-infused remake made for dance floors today. Le Twins put their own stamp on the track, combining retro vibes with state-of-the-art production to bring to the table a song both familiar yet irresistibly new.
The pair described their creative process in a statement: “We are often doing remakes and edits to perform in our sets so we can have new music that no one else has, plus we love playing our own material and trying it out on the crowds. As we were playing all this unreleased music, we could tell ‘Need U To Go’ was something special.”. Each time we played it, the crowd freaked out, especially on the final drop. We got goosebumps hearing that synth live, so we did a fun crowd interaction recording of the Green Light, Red Light vocals. That was the right coupling… hear for yourselves soon on Dim Mak.
This drop taps right into that crowd-tested vibe, the robotic “Red Light, Green Light” vocal both a throwback reference and an interactivator. The song climbs with furious momentum, adding layers of techno that make it an exemplary festival and club killer.
Renowned for boundary-pushing dark, future-sounding, genre-fusing productions, Le Twins have established a track record for releasing tracks that kill it on live sets. Their skill at combining recognizable hooks and contemporary power has established them as a distinctive presence within the electronic music circuit, and this track is no different.
“Need U To Go (Red Light, Green Light)” drops officially on September 12 through Dim Mak, and it’ll become a staple in the duo’s live sets – and, quite possibly, many others. For anyone who enjoys techno, house, and genre-bending electronic music, this is one track to keep an eye out for.
