Hit crime drama Tulsa King is back this weekend with its highly anticipated third season, and fans already have more to look forward to as Paramount+ has confirmed a fourth season.

The announcement came on September 17, when the streamer revealed that the Sylvester Stallone–led series will not only return for Season 3 but has also been renewed ahead of schedule for Season 4. The move follows massive global success for the show, with the Season 2 premiere drawing more than 21 million viewers worldwide, making it the platform’s biggest global premiere ever. Season 2 also recorded over 159 million views in total, proving Stallone’s mob drama has cemented itself as a breakout hit for Paramount+.

Season 3 officially premieres on Sunday, September 21 at 12 a.m. ET, Paramount spokesperson Kate Mann confirmed to USA TODAY.

The new season continues Dwight Manfredi’s journey as his empire in Tulsa expands, but with growth comes dangerous new enemies. The season’s logline teases Dwight facing off against the Dunmires, a ruthless old-money family with their own rules, forcing him to protect his empire and his loved ones in ways he’s never had to before.

The cast of Season 3 features returning stars alongside new faces. Stallone leads the ensemble with Martin Starr, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, Robert Patrick, Beau Knapp, Bella Heathcote, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Mike “Cash Flo” Walden, Kevin Pollak, Vincent Piazza, Frank Grillo, Michael Beach, James Russo, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany.

One of the biggest additions this season is Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson, who joins as Russell Lee Washington Jr. His role is especially notable because it sets up his lead in a newly announced spinoff series, NOLA King, which will shift the action from Tulsa to New Orleans.

Fans got their first look at Season 3 with the official trailer, which dropped on September 2 on YouTube.

For those who want to catch up, both Season 1 and Season 2 of Tulsa King are available exclusively on Paramount+.

With Stallone’s Dwight facing fresh adversaries, Jackson’s highly anticipated debut, and a confirmed fourth season already on the way, Tulsa King continues to be one of Paramount+’s biggest success stories.
