Twin brothers die after falling into water tank

Two 11-year-old boys fell into a water tank and died in Balathimmaiah village, Chakrayapet mandal, Kadapa district, in the early hours of Monday. The children have been identified as Ram and Lakshman, residents of Nagasanipalli village, Khajipet mandal, in Kadapa.

The boys, who were twin brothers, were guarding a mango grove when the mishap occurred. Locals shared that the maternal uncle was raising the boys in Nagasanipalli, following the death of their father. Their mother had left home with another man. Upon receiving information about the twins’ death, the RK Valley police officials launched an investigation.

According to police, the bodies were initially brought to the Vempalle Government Hospital from Nagasanipalle. However, with no doctor present to conduct the postmortem, they were shifted to Kadapa RIMS Hospital. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
