Two girls drown in SPSR Nellore district

Two girls died reportedly owing to drowning at Kalavakuru village in Pellakur mandal of SPSR Nellore district on Saturday. The deceased have been identified as 14-year-old Likhitha and eight-year-old Nandini, residents of Bahadurpeta and Salipeta respectively in Sri Kalahasti town of Tirupati district. They were among the six students who went swimming along with their family members neat Kalavakuru dam, according to sources. The other girls were rescued. The bodies have been shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
