Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar on Monday observed that most grievances received related to land disputes, traffic issues and local problems, during the Praja Samasya Parishkara Vedika (Public Grievance Redressal Platform) held at Sankaran Hall in the District Collectorate here. “While we may not resolve all issues instantly, we commit to addressing them as swiftly as possible,” he assured.
During the programme, the Minister received petitions from the public and directly interacted with them to understand their grievances. He directed the department officials concerned to address the issues promptly, emphasising the importance of speedy and transparent resolution.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Chandra Sekhar appreciated Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s initiative to create a platform that connects citizens with the government. “This is an effective forum for understanding people’s problems. The responsibility to solve these issues lies with the officials. You hold the power to build or break the trust in the government,” he said.
He urged officers to utilise the autonomy granted under the current administration, unlike previous regimes that allegedly pressured them. “We know what happened in the past. Now, use your freedom to support the public,” he said.
District officials, including In-Charge Collector Bhargav Teja, and others were present.
