The 2025 edition of Soccer Aid is fast approaching, and there are some huge names playing this year.

This is the world’s biggest charity football match and has been going since 2006.

No matter who plays, there are always millions of pounds raised for UNICEF every year.

But there are a whole range of top names from the sporting world and beyond set to be involved.

England

England will be managed by Wayne Rooney on his return to Old Trafford.

The Manchester United legend is going to be joined in the dugout by Harry Redknapp and boxing icon Tyson Fury.

Rooney has also registered as a player, and he will be joined by Paul Scholes, Joe Hart and Jermain Defoe.

Sky Sports’ Gary Neville will also be at right-back on the Man United turf for the first time in years.

England have also confirmed that Jack Wilshere will be putting his boots back on.

Steph Houghton, Toni Duggan and Jill Scott are all ex-Lionesses and will be throwing themselves into this one.

For the non-footballers, talkSPORT’s very own Alex Brooker and Sam Quek are part of the England set-up.

They will be joined by Soccer Aid regulars Sir Mo Farah and Paddy McGuinness.

Olympic legend Dame Denise Lewis will swap sports and stick on a pair of football boots for a good cause.

Elsewhere, Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson is running and cycling from Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford to bring the match ball out.

He is then part of the England team, along with Tom Grennan and former One Direction star Louis Thomlinson.

Rest of the World

The Rest of the World are set to be managed by another United legend and one of the all-time great Premier League goalkeepers.

Peter Schmeichel is having a crack in the dugout, though the rest of his coaching staff are yet to be confirmed.

But he has some serious talent to pick from.

A couple of standout names are again iconic at Old Trafford, with Edwin van der Saar and Nemanja Vidic joining Schmeichel.

Vidic should form a mean defensive partnership with Italian and Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci.

Bonucci hasn’t been retired for long and won the 2020 European Championship at Wembley against England.

Robbie Keane has played numerous times in Soccer Aid, and he’s back again.

He will be joined by former Australian international Harry Kewell.

One man who could get a mixed reception is ex-Man City and United striker Carlos Tevez.

From the world of women’s football, USA’s Kaylyn Kyle is set for a third consecutive appearance and Danish ace Nadia Nadim is also involved.

Noah Beck is also back a few years after hugely impressing in Soccer Aid the first time.

For the non-footballers, we have Scottish actor Martin Compston back with the Line of Duty star being a regular at Soccer Aid for years now.

He joins regular talkSPORT guest Tony Bellew as part of the Rest of the World side.
